# Self Guided Co-Pilot

## The New Way to Enjoy Cycling Tours: Your Way!

# For anyone who has always dreamed of a cycling vacation in Italy but doesn't want or need a full-service group to join: the Co-Pilot format!

### Tourissimo has created a unique hybrid between self-guided and escorted bike tours: the **Co-Pilot Tour**.

### This format offers the flexibility of a private group experience, with the added reassurance of a guide, either by your side or on call whenever you need assistance.

![Tourissimo puglia - HD-269-1](https://www.tourissimo.travel/hs-fs/hubfs/Puglia%20Frezet%202023/Tourissimo%20puglia%20-%20HD-269-1.jpg?width=956&height=717&name=Tourissimo%20puglia%20-%20HD-269-1.jpg)

Many bike tour companies offer self-guided cycling tours that may or may not involve a certain level of assistance.

In the worst-case scenario, riders may find themselves completely on their own when facing an emergency or mechanical issue. Even non-cycling challenges (like hotel complications or lost luggage) can disrupt an otherwise perfect trip.

**Co-Pilot Tours** offer the ideal balance of flexibility and independence, with the added reassurance that help is available when you need it.

# A new way to experience self-guided bike tours!

# With the Co-pilot format, you hold the reins but are not alone.

>

## Who is it for:

We found that a Co-pilot tour is the perfect choice for couples and tight groups of friends with up to 6 participants. Pick the dates, and pack your bags!

## What and where:

Select one of our tours or let us create your own. 90% of our Magnifica tours can be adapted for a Co-pilot private tour.

## What's included:

We provide all the [equipment](https://www.tourissimo.travel/equipment), a carefully designed itinerary, all of the hotels, and the number and type of meals you desire. We reserve or suggest unique experiences along the way. The Co-pilot guide is by your side - discretely, if that's what you want - or always within reach and on-call 24/7.

The RidewithGPS Experience app - included - functions as a navigation tool with turn-by-turn voice navigation, and as a tour description with interactive content.

Ready to experience la dolce vita on two wheels? [Get in touch](https://www.tourissimo.travel/contact-us-active-travel-in-italy) or schedule a call.

> ## "Are you new to bike touring? It's normal to feel a bit daunted, unsure about asking questions, or overwhelmed by the logistics. A **Co-Pilot Tour **is** **a supportive and flexible way to ease into cycling tourism with confidence."

> As seasoned “self guided” cyclists we experienced a whole new level of service with Alessandro and the “co-pilot Prosecco tour.
>
> On day one we text Alessandro with a minor bike issue. Days later we met up for a personalized wine tour where we mentioned that the bike issue must have worked itself out!!!
>
> He smiled at us and stated he had come out that evening, took it out for a spin to assess, and fixed it. We had no idea. Not typical with regular self guided tours for a minor issue.  It was peace of mind knowing Alessandro was a text away; restaurant recommendations, route clarifications and daily morning greetings.
>
> We look forward to booking other co-pilot tours with Tourissimo!
